Your body sets the brief. A size label is a starting point; the right fit depends on the designer, the garment, and how you want to wear it.
Measure before you choose
| Measurement | How to take it |
|---|---|
| Bust | Measure around the fullest part of your bust with the tape level. |
| Waist | Measure around your natural waist without pulling the tape tight. |
| Hips | Measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat. |
| Inseam | Use a pair of trousers with a length you like and measure the inside leg seam. |
Compare the designer’s guide
Use the size chart and fit notes on the individual product page. Letter sizes and numeric sizes are not interchangeable across brands. Universal Standard, for example, uses its own sizing system; choose from the brand’s measurements rather than assuming your usual letter size.
Explore extended sizing
Browse the extended-size edit, plus size tops, and size-inclusive dresses. Ranges and available variants vary by style. Collection membership does not guarantee every size is currently available.
Consider length and ease
Petite-friendly fit depends on garment length, rise, sleeve length, and your proportions. It is not a universal size category. Compare the measurements supplied for the item and allow for the movement and layering you prefer.
Shoes and finishing touches
Review each shoe’s listed size system and fit notes. For bags, belts, and jewelry, compare the stated dimensions with an item you already enjoy wearing.
